The Beachy Head Pub, Eastbourne

Visited: May 2017

Now I love this pub normally. We sat in the bar area of the pub this time.

We started off with ordering drinks. Ian went for a pint of diet coke. He wanted a Pepsi Max but they did not sell that. Our drinks came quite quickly, but the coke was flat and minty. We both tried it and thought the same. Ian took it back up to the bar and they replaced it. The second one was just as minty and flat as the first. He went back up again and they tried again. They changed the pump as admitted it might need changing. The third time was no better but we gave up trying to get a replacement.

Ian then went all ‘MasterChef’ and correctly served his burger how it should have been done – very fancy indeed! We then went for a walk along the downs from the pub to take a look at Beachy Head and the lighthouse. Ellie was a little terrified to be near the edge!

We forgot to take any photos whilst in the pub, but we did take a few on our short walk afterwards from the pub to Beachy Head and back. In the first photo, the building you see is in fact The Beachy Head pub. The last image shows the famous lighthouse at Beachy Head.
